What AI is good at (and what it isn’t)
- Good at: rewriting the demo text for your business, drafting FAQs, writing page titles and meta descriptions, suggesting headline options and writing alt text for images.
- Not good at: knowing your real prices, licenses, reviews or results. It will happily invent them, so you must supply the facts and check the output.
Step 1: Start from a working demo
Install your theme and import the demo (see how to install a theme from a ZIP). Every section is a block you can click and edit, which makes it easy to replace the text one section at a time.
Step 2: Write down your facts
Before you open an AI tool, list the things only you know: business name, services and prices, the area you serve, years in business, licenses and insurance, three real customer quotes and your phone number and hours.
Step 3: Use prompts that keep the structure
Paste the demo text for one section and give the AI your facts. For example:
I run a plumbing company called Reliable Rooter in Dallas–Fort Worth. Rewrite the text below for my business. Keep the same structure and roughly the same length. Use plain, friendly language. Use only the facts I give you and do not invent numbers or guarantees. Facts: licensed master plumbers, 24/7 emergency service, average arrival time 52 minutes, flat-rate pricing, 1-year workmanship warranty. Text to rewrite: [paste the demo text]
For FAQs:
Write 6 frequently asked questions and answers for a [type of business] in [city]. Use these facts: [your facts]. Answers should be 2–3 sentences. Do not make legal or medical claims.
For SEO titles and descriptions:
Write an SEO title (max 60 characters) and meta description (max 155 characters) for my [page name] page. My business: [description]. Main keyword: [keyword]. Make it specific and natural, not stuffed.
Step 4: Check everything before you publish
- Delete invented statistics, awards, reviews and guarantees.
- Replace generic claims such as “best in the city” with something you can prove.
- Read it aloud. If it doesn’t sound like you, simplify it.
- Never paste passwords, customer lists or private data into an AI tool.
Step 5: Colors, fonts and images
Use Appearance → Editor → Styles to switch the theme’s color style or fonts. You can ask an AI to suggest a palette that matches your logo, but pick from the theme’s styles first: they have already been tested for contrast and readability. Replace the demo photos with your own, and ask the AI to draft short alt text that describes each image.
Which AI tool should I use?
Any modern assistant works. Claude and ChatGPT are both good at rewriting and structuring text. The workflow matters more than the tool: one section at a time, your facts in, your review out.
