About Sterling
Sterling is a free accounting firm website template for WordPress, designed to make CPAs, accountants, bookkeepers and tax preparers look as trustworthy online as they are in person. It ships with a 15-section home page — hero, credentials, services, numbers, why-us, process, industries, pricing plans, client reviews, team, a tax-deadline calendar, call to action, FAQ, latest insights and a consultation booking form — plus About, Services, Pricing and Contact pages.
Every section is a block pattern, so you can edit any word or photo right in the WordPress page editor, rearrange sections, or add new ones from the inserter. A bundled Booking Requests plugin turns the contact page into a working consultation form: requests are saved in your dashboard, emailed to you and exportable to CSV. Three color styles (Ledger green, Navy and Burgundy), self-hosted fonts, AA contrast and responsive layouts keep it fast and accessible.

Booking Requests
Our own free plugin, bundled in the theme ZIP and installed in one click. It adds a booking and quote-request form block: requests are saved in your dashboard, emailed to you and exportable.

How to install
1. Install the theme
- Download sterling.zip. Don’t unzip it.
- In WordPress, go to Appearance → Themes → Add New Theme → Upload Theme.
- Choose sterling.zip, click Install Now, then Activate.
2. Import the demo
- Go to Appearance → Sterling setup and click Import demo content.
- This creates the Home, About, Services, Pricing, Contact and Insights pages, sample posts, the menu and the front page. It also installs Booking Requests, our free booking-form plugin that comes inside the theme.
3. Set up your consultation form
- In Bookings → Settings, add your services (bookkeeping, tax preparation, payroll…) and the email address that should receive new requests.
- Requests appear under Bookings. Mark each one as Contacted, Booked or Closed, and export them to CSV any time.
- To show or hide questions, click the form in the page editor and use the sidebar.
- If notification emails don’t arrive, install an SMTP plugin such as WP Mail SMTP. Requests are always saved in the dashboard either way.
4. Make it yours
- Edit text and photos right on each page — just click and type.
- Update your phone, email, address and hours in Appearance → Editor → Patterns → Header / Footer.
- Change colors and fonts in Appearance → Editor → Styles. Try the Navy and Burgundy styles.
- Add more sections from + → Patterns → Sterling: Sections.
The ZIP includes INSTALL.txt with these steps.
